Braies/Prags is embedded between meadows and forests, right in the midst of the ‘Fanes–Senes–Braies‘ Nature Park, which is part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage of the Dolomites. Nonetheless, it will take you no more than 10 minutes to get to Dobbiaco/Toblach and S. Candido/Innichen. The enchanting, beautiful Lake Braies/Prags is the symbol of our valley. The Dolomite peaks all around are imposing, majestic and waiting to be discovered. The backdrop is fantastic and is currently being used as a film location for the movie "Close to heaven" with Terence Hill.



During the summer, there are a number of magnificent Dolomite paths to choose from if you want to discover the legendary Lake Braies/Prags, the lonely summit cross of the Cime di Lavaredo/Three Merlons. Alternatively you can enjoy some impressive hiking and climbing, or let loose on some mountain bike routes.
During the winter, the Upper Puster Valley turns into a ski resort with great panoramic views: the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, as well as the Upper Puster Valley Ski Centre and Val Gardena invite you to enjoy some extensive skiing. Right in front of our door is the entrance to a cross-country ski paradise, with 200 km of great cross-country trails. Also winter and snow-shoe hikers will get their money's worth from this region.
